When Virtue creates a donation product in your Shopify store, your theme may display an Add to cart button on its product page. You can hide this button by creating a separate template for your donation products.
1. Create a donation product template
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
On your published theme, click Edit theme.
Open the Home page dropdown at the top, then select Products → Create template.
Name the template Donation and base it on Default product.
Click Create template.
2. Hide the purchase buttons
In the sidebar, expand Product information.
Find Buy buttons and click the eye icon to hide the block.
Hide the Quantity selector block too.
Click Save.
Make these changes in your new donation template. Editing Default product could affect your other products.
3. Apply the template
Go to Products in your Shopify admin.
Open the donation product created by Virtue.
Under Theme template, select donation.
Click Save.
Repeat for each donation product.
4. Check your store
Open the donation product page and confirm the purchase buttons are hidden. Then test adding a donation through your Virtue widget.
