To allow donors to raise for your organisation, you need to create causes that they can contribute towards. A cause outlines information detailing what their money contributes to including: your organisation information, the topic that the cause is targeting and more information about how the cause is affecting change. Donors then choose from your causes when starting campaigns.
Donors will be able to see all published Causes that you created. To make a cause invisible you will need to Unpublish it.

Adding a new cause
To add a cause:
1. head to the Causes page
2. select the "Add new cause" button
Enter all the information that you can on this page. Each piece of information changes how your cause is displayed to donors and customers purchasing from them. For your cause to be visible to donors, the "Published" field must be on.
Edit any of the fields and make sure to save at the end!
Filling in information for your cause
The following information should be present on each cause:
Name - this is the name of your cause / appeal. It should be a short sentence or just a few words that summary the impact donors will make when supporting your cause.
Organization name - name of your organization or brunch that the cause is linked to.
Long description - more information about your cause and organization in a paragraph.
Website - a link to more information about the cause / campaign.
Image - this is the hero image that will show on your cause card.
Logo/icon - this is a small image that will show in eCommerce stores to shoppers. Search our icon library if you do not wish to add a logo or add another image.
Editing causes
To edit a cause:
1. head to the Causes page
2. select the dots in the top right of the cause
3. select Edit cause
Edit any of the fields and make sure to save at the end!
Publishing and unpublishing causes
For your cause to be visible to donors, it must be published.
To change this, edit the cause as described above and change the "Published" field.
